Proposal Analyst

AbelConn Electronics, a Celestica company, is currently seeking to hire a Proposal Analyst to provide the company with proposal support in responding to customer needs across the Celestica network.  This job would prepare proposals and documentation to support the quotation of product, sales order inputs, and internal files to support the documentation trail.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze proposal pricing requests as they are identified by the Business Development team
  • Work with the sales team to analyze the competitive environment for each proposal
  • Assist the Business Development team in determining the appropriate pricing strategy for each opportunity that is selected for bid
  • Directs and coordinates interdepartmental activities of project to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget with Engineering, Quality, and Operations. Reviews status and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, customer, or others
  • Confers with proposal personnel to provide direction, advice, and to resolve problems. Works closely with Purchasing & Engineering and the supplier base to quote both existing and new products
  • Analyze reasonableness of prices submitted by subcontractors
  • Consistently working on cost savings and proposal improvements
  • Ensure pricing and cost compliance for each response submitted
  • Document the pricing basis of estimate and produce Cost and Pricing Volume as needed
  • Develop cost and pricing models and strategies with Business Unit Leaders & Sales
  • Participate in price negotiations as may be requested
  • May be requested to develop and establish pricing policies and procedures to be adopted throughout the organization
  • Supports the organization by developing/enhancing internal partnerships with functional organizations such as Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and other support organizations

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in Program Management, Customer Service, Electronics Distributions Sales, or related position in an electronics or similar Manufacturing environment
  • Experience in new product quoting and process development preferred
  • Experience in contract manufacturing environment preferred
  • High aptitude in Microsoft Office suit. Strong Excel skills a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency for oral and written communication
