Position Summary:

To continue this legacy, we’re seeking a National Sales Manager to lead Atrenne’s outside sales team in delivering exceptional results and achieving company sales objectives.
The National Sales Manager will report to Atrenne’s VP of Aerospace & Defense and manage a team of three experienced Regional Account Executives. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategic sales plans, expanding our presence in the North American defense industry, and fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve company objectives and drive market expansion within the defense sector.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, promoting a culture of trust, teamwork, and high performance.
- Prepare and present detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
- Identify new business opportunities and forge strategic partnerships with government agencies and contractors to enhance sales growth.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to uncover opportunities for product development and enhancement.
- Seek out and target new customers, initiating strategies to secure new business and expand into new territories.
- Represent Atrenne at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, promoting our technical solutions and generating leads.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (technical discipline preferred).
- 7+ years of technical sales experience with engineered solutions in the defense industry.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, with a proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and motivating a sales team to exceed targets.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, adept at building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Trustworthiness, integrity, and a good sense of humor are essential attributes.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
