Sr. Press Brake Operator

We’re currently seeking a Sr. Press Brake Operator to join our Fabrication Team

Primary Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate one or more of the following equipment: Press Brake, Hardware machines, Shear, Punch Press, Time Saver.

• Work independently to set-up, perform first piece inspection, take quality measurements and make adjustments through-out the production run, delivering quality product to the next operation.

• Use various gauges and measurement tools to set up machine and measure work. • Produce parts according to blueprint specifications.

• Record information and time as required. • Perform routine preventative maintenance and general upkeep of machines.

• Ensure efficient workflow with awareness of product schedules and material flow. • Provide feedback to Supervisor regarding the need for fixtures and/or the quality of the equipment.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow prescribed safety rules and company policies at all times.

Education and Required Experience

  • High school diploma and/or certificate from vocational technical school with 5-10 years related experience.
  • In depth knowledge of set-up and operation of Amada press brake RG series with w/ NC9-EX2 controls.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge to run programs on the equipment, track project hours, look up information on internal databases and enter time off requests into payroll online system.
  • Experience with various mechanical design software is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to record workflow router data.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Assistance required for any greater weights.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, vibration and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

The target pay range for this position is $34.00 – $36.00 per hour.
