MINNEAPOLIS, July 16, 2018 – AbelConn Electronics, a Celestica company (TSX: CLS) (NYSE: CLS), announced today that it has received the Honeywell New Product Development Supplier Excellence Award. The Supplier of the Year Award is Honeywell’s most prestigious award. The award was presented by Paul Ebertz, Honeywell CPO and Paul Jensen, Honeywell Senior Director for New Product Sourcing to Chris Milano, AbelConn President at an awards ceremony in Tempe, Arizona, in May 2018.

AbelConn has provided Honeywell with engineering services, manufacturing, test and product life cycle support since 1997. This award recognizes AbelConn’s recent collaboration with Honeywell on the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. AbelConn provided a dedicated account team responsible for identifying cost savings opportunities, conducting BOM analysis and completing DFx (Design for Excellence). AbelConn executed these tasks on an expedited timetable resulting in cost savings, reduced schedule impacts and meeting critical delivery dates. This is AbelConn’s second Supplier of the Year Award from Honeywell.
